Breakfast at “Good Eggs”, then we drove to Fish Creek to Nor Door Sport to get suggestions for riding. We picked up some chain lube and a mirror for my bike in case we ended up on some roads.
Back to our hotel where we loaded our bikes and headed north. We stopped at Shopko in Sister Bay to get a usb cable and I picked up a case of “Spotted Cow”. We shopped at “Top Shelf” next door for cheese, cigars and figs. Peg went to the bookstore while I picked up some knife blade protectors at the kitchen store.
We drove up to Newport State Park. We bought a day pass ($10) and had a nice ride of about 2 miles. Took a walk down the shore before loading up to head up north again. We stopped at Seaquist’s and bought apple cider donuts, door county mustard, pecan apple butter, and some cherry jam. Driving on up to Northport, we saw some fall color just starting. Watched a ferry dock, and visited the visitor center before coming back to Baybreeze. We spent some time on the beach before driving to Weiborg Point at Peninsula SP to watch the sunset. Afterwards we went to Chefs Hat in Eiphram where Peg had tilapia with strawberry pineapple chutney on risotto and I had New Orleans pasta.
