2017 Oct 16 Ephraim, WI

We had a breakfast from Good Eggs on our patio. We headed south to the Cherry Hut which has new management. The store has been remodeled and has new inventory. I bought some homemade soap and a bar of shampoo. We left there and went to Door Artisan Cheese, a new store across the road from Wood Orchard. It has a good selection of kind of high end cheeses along with a variety of other products. We bought a cheese knife, then headed across the highway to Wood Orchard. We picked up Traffic Jam, a jam made of gooseberries, apricots and strawberries layered to resemble the colors of a stop light. We got one for Mom and one for us. We also had to get some apple cider donuts.

We drove south to Egg Harbor.  Peg checked out a few shops while my mission was to find some soup for lunch. Most of the choices didn't appeal to us. Across from the remains of the burnt Shipwrecked Brewery was a little cafe that we finally returned to just discover they had closed, a recurring theme. We went back to the Village Cafe about 1:00 and ate, then went back north to Orchard Country Winery (Lautenbach's).

Back at Fish Creek,  we detoured through Peninsula State Park. Peg was disappointed to see that the gift shop at Nicolet Beach was closed for the season.

Back in Ephraim, we took a short bike ride before relaxing at the motel. We watched the sunset at Peninsula State Park before heading to the Wild Tomato for pizza.
